Your Student Gets One Chance to Hit Submit. Summit Helps Them Get It Right.

Full-cycle college application consulting — from college list through final submission — led by experienced teachers who know how to help high-achieving students tell their strongest story.

Your student didn't work this hard to blend in.

You have watched your student show up, year after year — the late nights studying, the early morning practices, the classes that pushed them, the commitments they stuck with. You know who they are. You know what they're capable of. And you want the application to reflect all of it.

But translating a record into a story that admissions officers remember is a different skill entirely — and it's not something most students have ever been asked to do.

That's where Summit comes in.

The woman on the right has shoulder-length blonde hair, and is wearing a blue dress. The table has several books, a laptop, and a striped mug. The background features a green wallpaper with pink flowers and dark green vertical leaves, and there is a pink area rug on the floor.

Here’s What Working With Us Looks Like

Every student works directly with one of Summit's co-founders — Maggie or Jacklyn — from the first planning session through the final submission. We don't hand students off. We don't use templates. We learn who your student is, and we help them build an application that reflects it.

  • Meetings are paced strategically across the entire application cycle, from early planning through final submission. Students meet monthly through the end of the school year, weekly over the course of the summer and fall, and shift back to monthly beginning in December through May as needed. Each meeting, the advising relationship deepens, the momentum builds, and nothing falls through the cracks.

  • We provide thoughtful, personalized feedback on your student's college list to ensure a well-balanced mix of reaches, targets, and safeties, with careful attention to merit aid opportunities, Honors programs, and genuine fit. Families stop guessing and start feeling confident about where their student is applying and why.

  • Clear direction on which test to take, when to take it, and how scores fit into the bigger admissions picture. Not generic advice that treats every applicant the same.

  • Between us, we have written over 200 letters of recommendation as classroom teachers. We know exactly what makes a letter specific, credible, and persuasive, and use that knowledge to help your student choose the right recommenders and give teachers the context to write something that actually moves the needle.

  • Our signature College Essay Starter Kit gives students a structured, reflective foundation before they ever write a word, including video instruction and ten guided brainstorming activities designed to surface the stories only they can tell. From there, live sessions guide them through every stage of drafting and revision until the essay is undeniably, authentically theirs.

  • Students applying to selective schools often write anywhere from 10 to 45 supplemental essays, and most families severely underestimate how much work that is. We provide full support for up to 10 schools, from brainstorming through final polish, making sure every supplemental reflects genuine insight and a clear sense of fit. Not recycled paragraphs copied across ten applications.

  • Activities List, Honors & Awards, and Additional Info sections reinforce the same story the essays are telling

  • Detailed, line-level, actionable comments delivered by teachers who have been supporting teenagers to grow in their writing and communication abilities for years. Feedback is returned within 48 hours, with no cap on rounds of revision.

  • Practice and strategy so your student walks in knowing what to say and how to say it

  • Regular 1:1 coaching sessions, ongoing email support, and a clear timeline so your student is never scrambling in October or panic-writing in December

And when all this is over?

(and we promise, it will eventually be over)

You’ll have a student who feels genuinely proud of what they submitted.

They’ll have a college list where they genuinely love every school on there and essays that sound like them — not like a consultant, not like a template, and definitely not like ChatGPT.

You’ll have a process that felt organized instead of overwhelming and you’ll be someone who got to watch their kid rise and meet the moment instead of drown in it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are teachers first: 25 combined years in the classroom means we know how to read a kid, build their confidence, push them to do their best work, and deliver feedback that actually lands.

We started with what we do best — teaching teenagers — and then learned everything we could about college admissions. Two master's degrees, 100+ letters of recommendation written, IECA membership, and experience spanning a Dartmouth education, alumni interviewing, higher ed, and over a decade each in the classroom.

And we spend more hours on essay development than nearly anyone in the industry — with no limit on drafts or rounds of revision. Many firms cap essays or revisions. We don't. Plus, every student works directly with one of us, start to finish. No handoffs. No subcontractors.

  • No ethical consultant can. What we guarantee is that your student submits the strongest possible version of their application. Nothing left on the table, nothing left to chance.

  • The earlier, the better. Most of our families begin in the spring of junior year, which gives students the time and space to do this work thoughtfully rather than under pressure. Starting early means your student's personal statement is complete before senior year even begins, and the fall becomes about execution rather than scrambling.

That said, we work with families at various stages. If you are coming to us later in the process, we will be honest on our call about what is realistic and how we can best support your student.

  • Yes. The Core Package is focused support on the application itself: personal statement, supplementals for 3 schools, and Common App execution. It's designed to wrap up before Labor Day. The Comprehensive Package covers the full cycle, from college list and testing strategy through essays, interview prep, and everything in between.

  • We offer two flat-rate packages. The Core Package is $3,000 and covers 3 schools. The Comprehensive Package is $8,000 and covers 10 schools. Flexible payment plans are available at no extra cost.

  • Fill out our contact form and tell us about your student. We'll respond within 48 hours and schedule a free call to talk through whether we’re a good fit.
